From
the I.A.R.T. Website...
| "The International
Association of Resistance Trainers, which specializes
in clinical exercise procedures, was established in 1995 as
a result of failed services within the personal trainer industry.
Primarily, most courses are based on nothing more than quick
weekend exams consisting of multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blanks,
and short essay questions that reflect 'memorize-from-the-book'
studies and an organization's training philosophy. In one
sense this is appropriate and ideal for most commercial gyms
whose fitness instructors really are membership sales agents
who perform mediocre instructional services. For those who
wish to raise the bar on standards and operate smaller quality
studios or 1-2-1 services, there were few viable options. |
 |
That is where the I.A.R.T.
steps in, and it is important to realize that we do not sell certification
exams. We specialize in accrediting independent fitness instructors
who come to own a highly sophisticated fitness instruction training
system that involves various tools of application and problem
solving not to be found elsewhere. It is known as Fitness Logistics(tm)."
|
"The I.A.R.T.
and it's certification procedures are state-of-the-art.
In a world replete with so many fitness organizations
and certifying methods, it's refreshing to see one based
on valid scientific research, comprehensiveness, and realistic
implementation. Those who accept the challenge and adhere
to the principles of the organization and its certification
standards will be in an elite class of fitness professionals."

Conditioning Coach for Saint Louis University
